UK-supplied and first registered in Reading in December 1951, this early Series I 80-inch represents the first generation of Land Rover production Restored around 2005 and refinished in Desert Sand with matching chassis, straight aluminium bodywork, cream canvas seats and a serviceable hood showing minor tears Fitted with its correct 2.0-litre petrol engine, four-speed gearbox and selectable four-wheel drive with high and low ratios, all working as intended Converted during restoration to 1950s military specification with split-rim wheels, two spares, military lamps, tow hitch and period accessories including a 1952 MOD jerry can and knapsack glovebox Maintained with a new fuel pump in 2024 and work to the electrics including a later indicator conversion Owned for 12 years and regularly driven to club rallies. A usable Series I, distinctive in its military guise and ready for continued enjoyment.
